it seems every congregation has a couple of weirdo elders, pioneers and ministerial servants.
and then you see those witnesses who attend meetings but most people seldom associate with them because... they are eccentric..

a general feeling of being ill or having no energy, or an uncomfortable feeling that something is wrong, especially with society, and that you cannot change the situation.
where the dictionary says society, read "the society"........... is there a malaise in the jw world?

They can call it a bible study but it is still a book study. Same for " study the bible by use of the watchtower " on Sunday

possibly being replaced by a borg streaming presentation that's required viewing from home?
it seems to me that with the congregation merging and sell-off that's going on, there are going to be 4 maybe 5 congregations sharing some khs.

That twice monthly talk part is still for up and coming brothers. There is little leeway for thinking. I used to like doing the talks you really had to think about, note used to. One of my " moments" was being given talk on the generation of 1914 , after the new light but before they discarded the make sure book as the source of all truth. I didnt show or call

if you criticize a female, you are obviously sexist.
if you criticize someone who happens to be gay, you must hate homosexuals.

How about sending people who will not assimilate to the common culture, learn the language back?
Too many immigrants are making ghettos and trying to pull the country to their level. They will not recognize flaws of where they came from; and they would not have emigrated without the flaws pushing them

5 meetings on 3 days. They differentiated the talk and study, and t the ministry school and service meeting
A lot seem to realize we ain't going no place fast. All 3rd grade level material

The one thing they did was take any creativity away on the assignments
The announcements are clear at the end so if you want to know about things you cannot leave at the half way song. Also dont announce funerals, weddings, or things you might want to know. Strictly org business

by Tenacious indon't you find it interesting how some topics and explanations on this board are sometimes addressed in magazine studies?.
for example, i remember commenting (i'm sure it had been mentioned many times before) not too long ago about how the organization uses the "spirit led" phrase in their baptism question.
and this naturally tells members they are indeed claiming divine guidance.

Hey blondie. I think I am in love (kidding) but being in the same age group I remember a lot of those things, and wife and I still can things, and know about wood cooking (wife is better at it) tv was maybe better when we had 3 ( here( channels and 1 phone with a party line. Respects to you and yours.
As for media catering to young people they really should give facts, and when editorializing make all us think. The posters on here I like the better make me think and assess my opinions, even if I come to different conclusions
